I have been offered two city jobs and am confused which one to accept. First one is a permanent office job. Pemanent meaning I will be all set, have a stable job (unless I do something really crazy), and the chances of me getting fired or laid off is very low, pay is ok, complete benefits, easy job, not stressful. While the other job is a provisional job where I need to take a test in order to be permanent, job is not stable because I can be bumped off by someone who passed the test, pay is $2 higher than 1st job offer, some benefits, it is better career and experience wise, more inline with my major, higher classification but more work.
If you were me which one would you pick? would you go for the sure thing or will you aim for a higher but uncertain path?
