Advice...has anybody here ever been taken to court for breach of contract?

I've had a lot of problems with my ex employer and to cut a long story short they didn't pay me and when they eventually did they took deductions from my wages which is illegal. My partner also worked there and he was told by the managers (they never responded to me) if I tried to claim my money back they'd take me to court for breach of contract as I give 2 weeks notice instead of 4. I didn't realise this and when I found out I offered to work the 2 weeks but they said it was too late. I wasn't on a salary and it was only a part time job and they haven't told me what the deductions were for. If I tried to claim the money and they then took me to court for breach of contract what would most likely happen?
