I have asked two questions about age discrimination previously and its quite clear that there is a need for legislation as the lack of understanding of what it meens to be of any certain age is ridiculous. Firstly, younger workers aren't idiots - like ANYONE doing a job for the first time, they need training. Secondly, older workers are not a liability - they tend to be more consistent and take less time off work, plus they have already learned the transferrable skills needed to do different jobs.
So the question is, why can't people understand the needs of different generations? Education or prejudice?
